JOSEPH SIDNEY MILLER

Joseph Sidney Miller, b November 15, 1869 in Golinda, Falls County, Texas, d December 10, 1953 in Grandview, Johnson County, Texas, and buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Eldorado, Oklahoma‑was a son of Dr. David C. and Laura Elizabeth (Newkirk) Miller. He married December 26, 1893 to Harriett Wozencraft Duty, b December 19, 1877 at Golinda, d March 26, 1904 in Eldorado, Oklahoma ‑ a daughter of Robert Barton and Harriett (Wozencraft) Duty. Joseph Sidney Miller was a farmer and a lay minister. He married second, ca 1938, to Pearl Mathews. By his first wife, Joseph Sidney had six children:

Laura Miller, b December 27, 1894 in Texas, married Nergus Richards; Jason Miller, b March 27, 1896 in Texas, d in Plainview, Hale County, Texas, married Jewel Pierce; Ellie Olliver Miller, b December 25, 1897 in Texas, died in Tulsa, Oklahoma, married Elizabeth (maiden name unknown); Myrtle Miller, b September 20, 1899 in McLennan County, Texas, married December 1$, 1926 to Robert Daniel Mobley; and David Miller, b February 4, 1904 in Oklahoma, d October 6, 1904, and buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Eldorado, Greer County, Oklahoma by his mother who died soon after his birth.
