    William Luther McKnight, b February 8, 1869, in Tennessee, d November 2, 1947, and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas -- married Myrtle Dunnevant, b March 10, 1871, d July 22, 1929, and buried in Calvary Cemetery -- was a son of Thomas Worthen and Martha Ann (Vinson) McKnight.
    Six children were born to William Luther and Myrtle:
    Flossie D. McKnight, b December 15, 1893, married William E. Fairman, b June 5, 1890, d January 28, 1941.
    Annie Alma McKnight, b January 19, 189 married William Ernest Lassiter, b June 25, 1895, d May 10, 1953, and had William Lee, Thomas McKnight, Robert Ernest, and Martha Ann Lassiter.
    William Aaron McKnight, b March 16, 1897, married Jessie Murrell Keeling, b October 31, 1900, d April 9, 1959.  William Aaron served as Tax Assessor of the City of Marlin for many years.  William Aaron and Jessie had on daughter, Mary Emily McKnight who married Joel McGregor and had Karen Sue McGregor who married Walter Kelly and resides in Waco, Texas.  Mary Emily was a math teacher and principal of the Marlin Junior High School for many years before his retirement.  Joel and Mary Emily are members of the First United Methodist Church in Marlin, and she is a member of the choir.  She also is a member of a Book Club in Marlin.
    Susie Gertrude McKnight, b July 31, 1899, d November 4, 1977, married Harry Pratt, and had Robert Pratt.
    Walter Thomas McKnight, b April 10, 1900, married Kathryn Bennett and had Jeane McKnight and Sarah McKnight.
    Emily Leron McKnight, b July 28, 1902, married first to Ben Davis Phillips, b December 22, 1889, d October 12, 1933, and married second to Emitt Lee Phillips, b March 6, 1887, d December 22, 1966.
