McKINLEY, JAMES FRANKLIN

James Franklin McKinley, b December 13, 1834, in Georgia, d July 17,
1863, in Arkansas -- was a son of Charles Carson and Nancy (Wallace)
McKinley -- natives of North Carolina who settled in Falls County,
Texas in 1851.
On February 12, 1860, in Limestone County, Texas, James Franklin
McKinley married Mary Frances Amelia Paschall, b ca 1842 in Georgia
-- a daughter of Amelia Paschall, b 1811 in Virginia, whose
husband's name is unknown.
James Franklin McKinley enlisted in the Confederate States Army during
the Civil War -- serving as a Private, Company K, 20th Regiment of
Texas Cavalry, under Captain McGee. He was killed in a bloody battle
across the Arkansas Ravine.
James Franklin and Mary Frances Amelia McKinley had two children before
his death.
John Carson McKinley, b December 6, 1860, d July 1, 1946, and buried in
Mustang Prairie Cemetery in Falls County, Texas -- married first to
Junia Davis, and married second to Matilda Caroline Miller.
Mary Elizabeth McKinley, b 1862 at Mustang Prairie, Falls County, Texas
-- married Joseph Williams, and had six children. They moved from
Falls County. No further information.
After the death of James Franklin McKinley -- when John Carson McKinley
was a lad of eleven years, Mary Frances Amelia (Paschall) McKinley
married second to William P. Campbell, of Robertson County, Texas.
