ROY ALEXANDER McCALL

Surnames: McCALL, CHRISTOPHER, BRYAN, BINNICKER.

    Roy Alexander McCall, b September 20, 1903 at Hico, Texas, d June 9, 1986 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas and buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Marlin -- was a son of Tipton B. and Maude (Christopher) McCall.  He was a graduate of Hamilton High School, attended Baylor university, and was graduate Pharmacist since 1929.  He settled in Marlin, Texas in 1927.
    On December 1, 1929, Roy A. McCall married Lillie May Frances Bryan (called "Lil"), b February 12, 1906 in Marlin.  Lil was a 1924 graduate of Marlin High School, and a daughter of Peyton James and Ella Victoria (Binnicker) Bryan.
    Roy was a charter member and past president of the Marlin Lions Club.  he was a member of Marlin Lodge No. 152, AF&AM, the Waco York Masonic bodies, Karem Shrine Temple in Waco, and the Falls Shrine Breakfast Club in Marlin.  He and Lil were members of First Methodist Church of Marlin, and he served as Chairman of the Administrative Board of that body form 1963 through 1964.
    Professionally, Roy was associated with Bryden Drug until 1928, when he began work, and subsequently became a co-owner of Majestic Pharmacy, until his retirement in 1976.
    Roy and Lil McCall had no children, but had the high esteem of their nieces and nephews.  Lillie May Frances (Bryan) continues to reside in Marlin.
