GEORGE LANDRUM
George Landrum, b ca 1835 in Alabama, and his wife,
Kitty, b 1840 in Louisiana, were slaves who were probably brought to Falls
County by Dr. Benjamin L. Landrum in the 1850's. They lived on the Landrum farm,
west of the Brazos River where they reared most of their children. However, at
some time, they moved to Austin, where the youngest daughter, Joanna, was born - returning to Falls County where she
married.
George and Kitty had seven children, and by his second wife, Chloe, he
had one:
Agnes Landrum, b ca 1857 Texas.
Lucy Landrum, b ca 1861 Texas.
Annie Landrum, b ca 1864 Texas.
William Landrum, b ca 1866 Texas.
Mose Landrum, b ca 1871 Texas.
Henry Landrum, b ca 1873 Texas.
Joanna Landrum, b ca 1875 Travis County, Texas
-
married Dock Wallace and had fourteen children.
Ernest Landrum, b ca 1877 Texas -
son of George and Chloe Landrum.
