BRUNO A. KASNER

 

 

 

     Bruno A. Kasner, b July 28, 1900 in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas, d February 28, 1975 and buried in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery - was a son of Albert Rudolph and Lena M. (Pieper) Kasner. On November 28, 1925 in Rosebud, Bruno A. Kasner married Elsie Lange, b August 12, 1906 in Brenham, Texas-a daughter of Henry and Martha (Fabianke) Lange.

     Bruno attended the Kasner and Rosebud Schools, and helped his parents with farming and carpentering on the farm. He took a course at Sweeney Auto Mechanic School in Kansas City, Missouri, and kept all the Kasner cars and tractors running. After their marriage, Bruno and Elsie rented land from his parents until 1930, and then moved to their farm which he inherited from his parents. They were the parents of four children:

     Baby Son Kasner, b & d February 18, 1927.

     Esther Kasner, b May 24,1929 in Rosebud-married June 17, 1950 to Herbert Schwake.

     Dennis Kasner, b August 20, 1936 in Rosebud - married Louise White.

     Larry Gene Kasner, b July.23, 1946 in Rosebud- married December 16, 1967 to Charlene Henderson.

     Bruno worked as a carpenter and painter, and worked for a time for the Rosebud Lumber Company. After they sold their farm, the family moved to Temple, Bell County, Texas, and purchased a there. Later, they sold the and bought the of an aunt, Miss Ida Pieper, in Rosebud, and returned to live in Falls County. After Bruno's death, Elsie has continued to reside in Rosebud.
