Texas - was a son of Leo Ed- ward and Erna Anna (Albright) Kahler, Sr.
On July 8, 1951 in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas, Leo Edward Kahler, Jr.
was married to Mrs. Fairie Lucille (Kirkscey) Masters, b January 20, 1922 in
Belfalls, Texas - a daughter of Thomas Cicero and Bern- ice (Barnett) Kirkscey.
Fairie Lucille was a teacher, and Leo Edward, Jr. is a merchant, and they are
members of the First United Methodist Church in Rosebud. In addition to rearing
her son by her first marriage, James Edgar Masters, III, they reared their three
children:
Karen Ann Kahler, b May 24, 1952 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas - married
November 15,1975 in League City, Galveston County, Texas to Gerald D. Waddell,
III, b September 18, 1952 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico-son of
Gerald D. and Alma Estelle (Mallow) Wadell, Sr. They have one daughter, Kristi
Ann Waddell, b September 17, 1978 in Webster, Harris County, Texas. They are
Methodists.
Kent Edward Kahler, b September 24, 1955 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas -
married May 2, 1981 in Waco, McLennan County, Texas to Chrisanne Crock- att, b
August 26, 1957 in Waco - a daughter of George r. and Shirley
(Miller) Crockett. Kent Edward is a teacher. Chrisanne is of the Catholic
religion. Kent and Chrisanne have two children: Kristopher Thomas Kahler, b
March 21, 1983 in Waco; and Korey Edward Kahler, b June 28,1985 in Waco.
Thresa Kay Kahler, b August 17, 1956 in Marlin, Falls County, Texas -
married January 8, 1977 in Roseebud, Falls County, Texas to George Thomas Young,
b June 18, 1953 in Waco, Texas - a son of George and Bette (Barfield) Young.
They are Methodists, and they have two children: George Kirk Young, b August 1,
1979 in Clifton, Bosque County, Texas; and Jennie Sue Young, b February 17, 1983
in Waco, McLennan County, Texas.
During World War II, Leo Edward
Kahler, Jr. was in military service.
