Paschal
W. Jolly, b ca 1827 in North Carolina, married Emma J. Mills, b 1831 in North
Carolina, and they moved to Mississippi about 1848, thence to Falls County,
Texas about 1852.
Paschal
W. was a stockraiser, living in the McClanahan area. He was elected Justice of
the Peace- performing many of the early marriages in the community.
Paschal
and Emma were the parents of six children:
Sarah
Jolly, b ca 1849 in Mississippi - married John B. Smith, b ca 1847 in Kentucky.
Robert
W. Jolly, b February 10, 1851 in Mississippi, d December 17, 1927 and buried in
McClanahan Cemetery - married Susan A. Cain, b June 27, 1853, d September 22,
1934 and buried in McClanahan Cemetery. Two of their children were: Alice May
Jolly, b October 31, 1886, d August 9, 1921 and buried in McClanahan Cemetery;
and William Robert Jolly, b December 13, 1887, d September 16, 1952 and buried
in McClanahan Cemetery.
Mary
Frances Jolly, b ca 1854 in Texas - married first to Elijah
Spencer; married second to William Cooper; married third to Pat Case.
William
Killebrew Jolly, b November 15, 1856, d January 3,1889 and buried in Pin Oak
Cemetery near Brushy Creek, Falls County, Texas - married Sarah Cain.
Thomas
Jefferson Jolly, b ca 1859 in Falls County, Texas - married first to Sultana
Carter; and married second to Virginia Minerva (Cain) Barton - widow of David A.
Barton. He had no children.
Gerome
Paschal Jolly, b ca 1861- moved to Cooke County, Texas, where he married.
The three Cain girls who married the three Jolly sons were daughters of
Abel and Gincey (Williams) Cain.
