Angelo Ghiberta CHAMBERLAIN, b October 1, 1847 in Old Yalobusha County, Mississippi ( now Grenda County), d May 14, 1923 and buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Falls County, Texas - was the second child of Alexander Hunter and Temperance Killingsworth (Aldridge) CHAMBERLAIN - Natives of South Carolina and Alabama, respectively, who settled in Alto Springs, Falls County, Texas in the Spring of 1855. Angelo was named for his mother’s maternal grandfather, Angelo GHIBERTI, but the name “GHIBERTI” was sometimes spelled with an “a” instead of an “i”.
On December 20, 1871 in Falls County, Texas, Angelo married Sarah HARLAN (called “Sally”) b September 11, 1856 at Blue Ridge, Falls County, Texas, d June 15, 1944 and is buried at Blue Ridge Cemetery - a daughter of Silas and Anna Elizabeth (LESTER) HARLAN and granddaughter of Dr. Isaiah and Nancy (HENRY) HARLAN who came to Texas in the Fall of 1834.
Angelo and Sally were Baptists, and active in the Blue Ridge Baptist Church throughout their lives. Their children attended the Grange School located near the family and later the Blue Ridge School and Reagan High School. Angelo followed agricultural pursuits all his adult life, and had been reared in a slave-owning family, while Sally’s family - having come from a Quaker background, never owned slaves.

Alonzo Harlan CHAMBERLAIN, b October 18, 1872, d October 24, 1960 in Amarillo, Potter County, Texas and buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Falls County, Texas - married September 23, 1896 to Florence Beatrice McKINNEY, b July 26, 1876, d September 5, 1958 - a daughter of Nathan and __?___(WHITE) McKINNEY. They had eleven children: Beatrice CHAMBERLAIN b August 9, 1897 who married Cyrus William FIELDS, Nathan CHAMBERLAIN who married Ruby WOOD. Ollie Ethel CHAMBERLAIN who married Jerome D. GREEN. Asa CHAMBERLAIN b 1901, d 1921 and buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery - was carrying gasoline in one hand and a lantern in the other when it ignited burning him to death. Myra CHAMBERLAIN - a twin b, 1908 and buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery. Marie CHAMBERLAIN - a twin b, 1908 and buried in Blue Ridge Cemetery. Forrest Churhill CHAMBERLAIN, b February 2, 1906, d November 27, 1967 - unmarried, buried at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Willie Grace CHAMBERLAIN who married Hale GUEDRY. Adniram Judson (“Nilie”) CHAMBERLAIN who married Frances NAUGHTON. Sarah Elizabeth CHAMBERLAIN b April 14, 1914 who married Carl GROBB. Edward Podmore CHAMBERLAIN, b February 12, 1920 who married Alice NOVOTNY.
Claudia Joan CHAMBERLAIN, b April 6, 1875, d October 7, 1962 in Van Nuys, California - married June 24, 1896 to George Albert JOHNSON, b November 2, 1873 near Calvert, Texas, d May 1, 1960 in Van Nuys, California - son of George Dallas and May Elizabeth (McCORMICH) JOHNSON; and had six children: Ima JOHNSON, b ca 1897, d 1898. Walter JOHNSON, b November 1899 - married first to Stella Mae BURNS, and second to his first wife’s sister, Fae BURNS. Mary JOHNSON married first to a Mr. JONES, and second to Cecil EDMONDSON. Harlan JOHNSON - married but had no issue. Mabel Annie JOHNSON, b October 7, 1912 who married Clark Lemuel Parks and had Bryan Parks, Dr. Larry Clark Parks, and Leslie Parks.
Ethel Inez CHAMBERLAIN, b April 2, 1877, d August 11, 1964 - married August 27, 1898 to Reverend
William John (“Jack”) PACE, b February 21, 1869 in Newton County, Mississippi, d May 19, 1929 - son of James Willis and Sarah Jane (McLENDON) PACE - moved to New Mexico and had 5 children: William Maxwell PACE, b June 26, 1899 who married Vera HUNTER. Ghiberti F. (“Bert”) PACE, b Marcch 16, 1902 who married Lillian BITNER. Harold Charles PACE,b June 10, 1907 who married Ruth Marie (JONES) RAYNOR. Jack Chamberlain PACE b January 10, 1917 who married Dorothy Nell HOLT. Mabel Ethel PACE b August 11, 1912 who married Lebert THOMPSON.

Mary Ethel CHAMBERLAIN, b April 12, 1912 who married Charles Lee MULLINNEX. Lester Aldridge CHAMBERLAIN, Jr. b June 19, 1914 who married first to Martha Elizabeth and second to Nina Schenck MacDONALD and had no issue.
