Bastrop County, Texas Red Cross Donations
The following was printed in a 1918 Bastrop Newspaper. A copy was given to me
but there was no date on the copy. The spelling of the
names are as written in the paper.
RED ROCK RED CROSS DRIVE
In submitting for publication
the list of names and the amount each donated to the second
Red Cross War Fund will ask the public to not judge our patriotism by the
amount donated by
each, as we know that many of the small donators have made sacrifices greater
than some of the
larger ones, and we know that all have contributed liberally in proportion to
the amount to be
raised at this place.
