Will of David Wilson

 

        

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, The first Day of February one thousand seven hundred and Seventy Nine, I David Wilson of South Carolina Craven County St. Marks Parish, being in Perfect Mind And Memory blessed be God, yet Calling to mind the mortality of My Body Do       make Constitute and appoint This My Last Will and Testament that is to say First and Principally I give and Resign My Soul to God Who gave it My Body I recommend it to the Earth to be Buried in a Christian Like Manner, at the Discretion of my After Named Executors, My Worldly Estate Wherewith it hath Pleased God to Blefs me With in this Life, I Do give Bequeath, and Dispose of in the Manner and form following—                   

IMPRIMUS. I Will and Appoint the Payment of all My lawfull and Just Debts.—

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Dearly Beloved Wife Mary one Third Part of all my Personal Estate After the aftermentioned Legacies are Paid out of the same, as likewise her Dowery right of my Lands

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Son Robert William Wilson the Tract of Land on which I Dwell with the Improvements thereon to Be Inherited by him at Lawfull age

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Son David Wilson one tract of Land on the South West Side of the North Prong of Black river Bounding to the South on James Armstrongs Land on the North on Roger Wilsons land on The East on the before Mentioned Land on Which I Dwell, to be Inherited By him at Lawfull age.

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Son Roger Wilson one tract of Land Situated on Stoney‑Run Adjoining Land Southardly Laid out to David Anderson, All the Before Mentioned Bequeathed Lands Now my property

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Daughter Jane Allen Wilson, A Legacy of one thousand Pounds, out of My Personal Estate to Be Paid unto her By My afternamed Executers at the age of Twenty-one years or on The Day of her Marriage if Sooner

Item. I Do Bequeath unto My Daughter Margaret Grace, a Legacy of one thousand Pounds, out of My Personal Estate to Be Paid unto her By My afternamed Executers at the age of Twenty-one years or on the Day of her Marriage If Sooner.

I Do Bequeath unto the Catholick Society A Legacy of Five hundred Pounds to be Paid By My After Named Executers Within two years after My Decease for the use of the Same

All the Remainder of My Estate Not above Mentioned, I do Bequeath unto My above Mentioned Five Children to be Equally Divided amongst them and Paid unto them By My after named Executers With The Above Mentioned Legacies at the age of Twenty‑one years or on the Day of their Marriage If that be sooner

And I Do Constitute and appoint as Executrix My Dearly Beloved Wife Mary as Likewise James Carter Matthew Bradley James Wilson Sen.and My Son Robert William Wilson. When he is Twenty one years of age As My Lawfull Executers of this My last Will and Testament to act at their Descretion according to the same And I do Dispose and Disanull all Other Wills and Testaments Whatsoever made in my Name before this date.
