I Elizabeth Spann of Sumter District do make andordain this my last will and testament.
To my daughter Patsey, I give a negro man calledJoe- to my daughter Sarah, I give a woman called Amy-
To my son William I give a man called Will- to mydaughter Rebecca I give a boy called George- to my daughter Ellen Igive a woman called Archy- to my son John I give a boy called Gabril-and to my daughter Mary I give two hundred Dollars, to be paid outof the property given and to be given by this will to my otherchildren--
The whole of my Real Estate I wish divided betweenmy Six children first above named.
To my son William I give my Silver Watch to my sonJohn I give my Desk and to my grand daughter Sarah Elizabeth Mellet,I give a feather bed--
To my daughters Sarah and Patsey I give the restand residue of my Estate to enable them to support and maintaincomfortably, as long as they may live, my three faithful old servantsJacob and Rose and Ned--
Should any of my children die leaving no child orchildren the property herein given. I wish divided among mysurviving children--
The property given my daughters Rebecca and Ellen,I wish held in Trust by my son William for their sole and exclusivebenefit, so that the same may not be subject to the disposal of, orliable for the debts of their present or future husbands--Theproperty given to my son John I wish held in like manner by my saidson William for his sole and Exclusive benefit--
Lastley I appoint my son William and my friendWilliam Haynsworth Executors of this my last Will andTestament--
In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand andSeal this twenty first day of March in the year of our Lord onethousand Eight hundred and thirty three--
