In the Name of God Amen, be it mad know to all to whom it may concern that I Sarah Sanders the widow of William Sander/the elder/ deceased of the District and State aforesaid do hereby pronounce and forever declare this to be my last will and testamentrenouncing all other wills before madedisposing of my estate in the manner following to wit
Item 1, I give unto my great granddaughter, Martha Moore Kendrick, daughter of James Kendrick, one Negro woman named Henrietta and her increase but should the said Martha Moore Kendrick die leaving no lawful issue then the above Name Negro and her increase to be divided between her surviving brother and sisters or their lawful issue.
Item 2, I give unto my granddaughter Sarah Ann Kendrick, wife of James Kendrick, during her natural life and after her death to be equally divided between her childrenthe three following Negroes namely--Milly, Mary, and Herculesand their increasealso all the money and notes I may have a the time of my deathafter paying my lawful debts. Also, all the crop of every description whether in the house or in the fieldone carriage and harness, one wagon and hind gearone feather bedbedsted and furnituretwo sets of curtainsone wool mattress, one moss mattress, one dozen winsor chairs all my warring apparel all the countinpins sheets and blanket that I have bought or made since the death of my husband also, half dozen silver table spoonshalf dozen pap spoonsalso silver-half dozen silver teaspoonsall the horses, that I may own at the time of deathand all the household and kitchen furniture that I have bought since the death of my husband or may buy during my lifetime.
Item 3, I give unto my grandson, Warren E Sanderstwo hundred dollars to be paid out of my Estate
I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Robert Sander and James Kendrick as my Executors to this my last will and testamentin testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Second day of September 1822
