Will of Ann S. Rutledge
State
of South Carolina
The
last will of Ann S Rutledge of the said State.
I give and devise to my two brothers,
Francis H. and John H. Rutledge, My Mother, Legacy to me, share & share
alike forever all other property that I may pofsefs. I give and devise
in like
manner
to my Niece M B Waties & my two Nephews John and Thomas Waties, to them and
their Heirs forever.
I do request that from the years income a
Handsome Gold Watch & Chair may be provided & presented to my Nephew,
Benjamin H Rutledge as a memento of my affection for him.
I desire that the property bequeathed to my
Neice & Nephews should be convented into money and advantageously vested
for their use by my friends & brothers Alfred Huger Esqr and Francis
H
Rutledge who I hereby nominate the Executors of this my last will and
Testament.
In witnefs whereof I have hereto set my hand
and Seal this 29th day of August in the year of our Lord, One thousand
Eight Hundred and forty three
