Will of Jesse Miller
In
the name of God amen‑‑‑I‑‑Jefse Miller of
Statesburg So Car- being weak in body but of sound & disposing mind &
memory‑ for the purpose of making such disposition of my worldly concerns
as seems to me fit & proper ‑ do make the following disposition
thereof, as & for my last will & testament---

st-I desire all my just debts honorably paid‑--
2d-I
give & bequeath unto my wife Priscilla for and during the term of her
widowhood all the remainder of my property, that therewith she may support
herself & my four children & educate them‑‑‑
3d-
In the event of my wife Priscilla marrying again I desire a partition of my
property‑ & that one third part thereof b given to her‑ &
the remaining two thirds, retained in the bands of my
Executors
to support & educate my children‑‑-
4th Deeming a good education of the utmost
importance I direct my executors, to have my children educated(and especially
the boys) in the best manner my property will allow- & if necefsary I
empower them from time to time to sell portions of my property to raise funds
to educate my children‑‑‑
5th
When the education of all my children is finished‑ I desire the remainder
of my property to be divided evenly between them reserving to their mother her
estate their during bar widowhood
6th
I appoint & nominate my friends John M Dargan & William E Richardson
& the survivor of them Executors of this my last will & testament
