Will
of Charles Mayrant
I Charles Mayrant, being mindful of the
uncertainty of all things in this life, & being of sound & disposing
mind, do make & ordain the following disposition of my property to be my
last will & testament-
First- I give to wife Mrs. Caroline Mayrant my
Carriage & Carriage Horses-my servant John & as much of my Household
& Kitchen Furniture as she may select-
Second- I give bequeath & devise the whole of
my estate Real & personal to my wife Mrs. Caroline Mayrant during her
widowhood: upon the event of her marrying again, I wish my estate divided into
three parts, and give one third thereof to Mrs. Caroline Mayrant absolutely;
& the remaining two thirds to my children-
Third- I give my executors power & authority
at their direction, to sell the whole of my estate Real & Personal-except
so much as I have specifiedlly bequeathed- The same to be subject to the
devises above mentioned- I hereby appoint Mrs. Caroline Mayrant Executrix &
my brother William Mayrant my Executor of this my last will & testament-
Signed Sealed & declared to be the last will & testament of Charles
Mayrant in the presence of us, who have subscribed in the presence of each
other & in the presence of the testator-
