Jennings
In
the name of God Amen I James Jennings
of the State of South Carolina Sumter District Clarendon County being weak of
body, but of perfect mind and memory do hereby make my last will and testament.
First of all I commend my Soul to almighty God who gave it, and my body to the
earth to be buried in Christian like manner. Secondly it is my will and desire
that after my just debts are paid that such of this worlds goods as it had pleas’d
Almighty God to blefs me with shall be disposed of in manner and form as
follows viz First I do will and
bequeath unto my three Children Noah Jinnings Martha Jinnings and Mary Jinnings
the whole of my estate to be equally divided between them. and that the
division to take place when the oldest of my said three children Comes of age
or marries and so on down to the youngest
Secondly I do hereby nominate and appoint James W Sherriff and Harvey
Skinner as my Executors of this my last will and testament, renouncing all
other wills made by me heretofore This
3rd day of October in the year of our Lord 1834 and in fifty‑ninth year
of the independence of the United States of America
