WILL OF SILVIA HOLLAND

The Last Will and Testament of Silvia Holland of Sumter District South Carolina.

I Silvia Holland Considering the uncertainty of this Mortal life and being of Sound Mind and memory (Blefsed be Allmighty God for the Same) do make and Publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner & form following viz.

First I Resign my Soul into the hands of almighty God hoping and believing in a Remifsion of my sins by the Merits and Dedication of Jesus Christ and my Body, I commit to the Earth to be buried at the Discrefsion of my
Executor herein after named and my Worldly Estate I give and Devise as follows:

First I give and bequeath to my Son John Holland My negro Man named Simon during my Son John Holland's natural life and after his death to my Grand Son John Holland.

Second I give and bequeath to my Grand Son Jefse Holland Son of David Holland one Sorrel Mare and her increase.

Third I give and bequeath unto my Son David Holland Five Dollars to be paid by my Executor out of my other goods and Chattels to be sold as will be named.

Fourth I direct my Executor to Sell all my other Personal Property Not named above, and the proceeds, (after paying the Sum of Five Dollars bequeathed to my Son David Holland) and be equally Divided between the Rest of my Children now living except John Holland & David Holland.

And I do hereby constitute and appoint my son John Holland Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament in witnefs whereof:  I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal this 12TH day of August in the year of our Lord 1830.
