Will of Massey Graves
The
State of South Carolina
In the name of God, Amen:
I
Massey Graves of Charleston in the said State Widow being of sound mind, and
memory do make this my last Will and Testament.
First.
I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as
practicable after my decease.
After my debts are paid I give to my
Grandson James Perdrian the sum of Twenty Dollars.
The
rest and residue of my estate of every kind whatsoever I give and bequeath to
my Grand‑daughter, Ann L. Clark, Massey G. Barrett, Lydia A. Evans,
Esther A. Ramsay and my Great-grandson Benjamin Edward Evans, to be equally
divided between them, share and share alike, absolutely and forever.
I nominate and appoint Henry W Peronnean the
Executor of this my last will and testament giving him power to sell all or any
part of my estate for the purpose of carrying into effect the
provisions
of this my will; hereby revoking all former and other wills by me at any time
heretofore made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my
hand and seal this fourteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty three
