In the name of God amen. I Alester Garden of thesaid district and state declare this to be my last will andtestament.

As a token of regard and affection for my dearmother, I leave to her my silver pencil case.

All the rest of my estate real and personal,together with my choses in action, I bequeath and devise to my dearwife Elizabeth during her widowhood. Or her marriage or at herdeath, the whole to be divided among my heirs and distributeesaccording to the Statute of distributions. I appoint my said wife mysole executrix.

Witnefs my hand and Seal this 3rd day of September1843.
