Last will and testament of William J. Fullwood
In the name of God Amen, I William J. Fullwood ofClarendon County, Sumter District and State of South Carolina,Planter. being sick in body but of a sound and perfect mind andmemory, do hereby make constitute and ordain this my last will andtestament in manner and form following viz:
I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lavinathree negros named Jenny, Phillis, and Dullin a negro man in lieu ofthe thirds of my lands with their increase and at her death to returnto my three children and it for therefore my wish that my wifeLavinia has liberty and priveledge to live on the third of my landher lifetime and at her death to return to my son James Alexander.
2ndly I give and bequeath unto my son JamesAlexander Fullwood all of my plantation or tract of land containingthree hundred forty acres to and his heirs forever, and if he diesleaving no heir for the land to return to his sisters.
3rdly I give and bequeath unto my three childrenJames Alexander, Elizabeth Ann, Susan Leneah six negros namedCharles, Anthony, Ann Dicy, Sary, and Hannah with their increase tothemand their heirs forever.
And lastly I give and bequeath unto my wifeLavinia Fullwood all of my horses, hogs, cattle, and householdfurniture her lifetime and at her death to return to my threechildren.
I do hereby nominate appoint and consitute my wifeLavinia Fullwood and Elijah J. Pringle my Executrix and Executor tocarry this my will into execution agreeable to the tenor thereof.
Given under my hand seal this 5th day of Septemberone thousand eight hundred and thirty two in th fifty seventh year ofAmerican Independence.

In open court on the 17th day of December 1832,the last testament was proven by the oath of James M. McKnight on thesubscribing witnesses thereto at same time qualifying Elijah Pringlenamed Executor and issued decision to qualify Lavinia Fullwood namedExecutrix.
