In the name of God Amen I, William Beard Senrbeing weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to Godfor his mercies knowing that all men must Die do make this my lastwill and testament that is to say I give my soul into the hands ofGod who gave it and my Body to be Buried in a Decent Christian likemanner nothing doubting but that at the Resurrection I shall receivethe same and as touching my worldly goods which God has blessed mewith I give and bequeath in the following manner, and first of all itis my wish that all my just debts be paid-----

1 It is my wish that my Beloved Wife Sarah shallhave the Negros after Named that is to say Charles Tussee May Ana andAnnas Increase It is my wish that my Children shall throw in asufficient support for the above named Annas Increase until theyshall arrive to the age of Eight years and at the Death of my WifeSarah her Negros to be equally divided among my Children John J. MaryT, Margaret J., Sarah M, William, Aaron F. & Susannah, It is mywish that my Wife Sarah shall have twenty four acres of Open landTwelve Acres from the Lower part of Aaron F. Beards land and twelveacres from the upper part of Wm Beard Junr Land during (her naturallife or widowhood) with the previlege of Timber where she makeschoice with a sufficentcy of Plantation tools to keep at her farm Itis my wish that my Wife Sarah shall have the stock after Named my BayHorse Seveworror & Riding Chair Two cows & Calves Five headof Hogs Two head of sheep with all the poultry and at her death theabove named Property with the Increase to be equally divided among mylawful Heirs I wish my Wife Sarah to have the House hold &Kitchen Furniture.

2 It is my wish that my Son John James Childrenshall have the upper part of the Tract of Land which I Bought fromTaylor Barrow the lower line running from the old Spring according tothe resurvey made by Wm H Mcintosh Containing 161 acres-----

It is my wish that my Son John James widow MarthaBeard shall have Five dollars as her full and Lawful part of myEstate

3 It is my wish that my Daughter Mary T. Gibbinsshall have the Tract of land I got from James Dickey lying inWilliamsburg on Kingstree Swamp containing 504 Acres by the resurvey& my Daughter Margaret J. Green has already recd her full part ofland

5 It is my wish that my Daughter Sarah M Lloyd andDaughter Susannah have the remainder of the Thousand acre Tract ofland which my Daughter Margaret J. Green got her full share fromEqually divided between the two

6 I wish my Son William to have the Tract of Landwhich I bought from David Fountain containing Fifty Acres & atract that I took up from the Fullwoods Survey about 100 Acres

7 I wish my Son Aaron F. to have the lower part ofthe land that I Bought of Taylor Barrow Joining the lower side ofJohn J. Beards children land & on the upper side of Wm BeardsJunr Land

I wish all my Negros except those I give to myWife Sarah to be Appraised & equally Divided among my Children,John Ja children one part Mary T, Margaret J, Sarah M. Willaim, AaronF, & Susannah and the Notes that I hold against my Sons William& Aaron F. I wish decounted out of their part at the divide clearof Interest that is Notes that I have paid for them. I do herebydisallow & make Void all other Wills by me made allowing this tobe my last will & Testament and I do hereby appoint Joseph S.Lloyd Wm Beard Junr Aaron F. Beard & John Frierson Executors ofthis my last will & Testament in witness where of I have set myhand & Seal this One Thousand Eight hundred & forty ThreeSeptember 21 st
