In the name of God, the Father Son and Holy GhostAmen. I Hubert Rembert being sick and weak of body, but of sound mindand memory; (thanks to God for his unspeakable goodness and callingto mind the uncertainty for this mortal life- Do make and publishthis my last will and testament- in the manner following (viz) Afterall my lawful & just debts are paid; I will & bequeath to myfive surviving elder brothers & sisters, the children of myFather's first marriage VIZ, Abijah Rembert, Isam Rembert,Scarborough Rembert,, Mary Brown & Jane Dwyer all my propertyperishable, personal and real, (Except the Item hereafter mentioned)to be fairly & equally divided between them in such way andmanner as they shall judge best. I also will & bequeath toWilliam Whilder & his wife Sarah Whilder a suit of mourning as atestimony of my unfrigned friendship I also will and bequeath to myyounger brothers & sisters, the surviving children of my Fatherssecond marriage viz. Thomas Rembert, Edward Rembert, James Rembert,Amelia Rembert & Mary Anne Rembert to each a suit of mourning.And lastly, I appoint & constitute Abijah Rembert, Isam Rembert,Scarborough Rembert, Robert Brown & James Dwyer Executors to thismy last will & Testament In testimony where of I have hereuntoaffixed my hand & seal this first day of August and in the yearof our Lord one thousand eight hundred & ten, and in the thirtyfifth year of American Independence.
