In the name of God Amen I Mary Rees, of theDistrict of Sumpter in the State aforesaid do make publish anddeclare this to be my last Will and Testament Whereas at the divisionof my husband's estate, certain negroes were given up to me, as myown property by my Sons Orlando Rees and John Mayrant, Jr. thehusband of my daughter from their respective lots o negroes. It ismy will that the same negroes with their increase which were so givento me by my Son Orlando S. Rees should be given to him also Harriet& her Children and their future ifsue, also the house in which henow lives and the land attached thereto to hold to him his HeirsExecutors & Administrators & afsigns forever------------ ItemI give devise and bequeath to my son Orlando S. Rees and James G.Spann their Executors administrators & afsigns in trust for thesole separate and peculiar use benifit & behoof of my daughterMaria P. Mayrant her executors administrators & afsigns, not tobe subject in any manner or way whatsoever to the debts contracts ofengagements of her said husband John Mayrant Jr, All the negroes withtheir present & future encrease which I received from herself andher said husband, and I hereby authorise & empower her to willand dispose of the same as she may think proper by her last Will& Testament duly executed---------------- Item I devise andbequeath to my Son Orlando S Rees & James G Spann their Heirs& afsigns forever all the lands which I own on the western sideof the main road called the Club House Tract, the line to commence atthe Spring in trust for the sole separate & peculiar use benefit& behoof of my said daughter Maria, her Heirs and afsignsforever, not to be subject to the debts contract or engagements ofher said Husband-------------------

Item I give & bequeath to my Son Orlando S.Rees my Silver Pitcher Bread Basket & dog Irons----------

Item I give & bequeath to my grand daughterFrances Maria her Executors administrators and afsigns Martha, thedaughter of Sophia with her futureifsue-----------------------

Item I give & bequeath to my grand daughterSarah Huger, her Executors administrators & afsigns Clarifsa, thedaughter of Dicey, with her futureifsue---------------------------

Item I give devise and bequeath to my son OrlandoS. Rees and James G. Spann their Heirs Executors administrators &afsigns all the rest and residue of my Estate, real & personal,in trust for the sole separate & peculiar use benefit &behoof of my daughter Maria P. Mayrant her Heirs Executorsadministrators and afsigns, Not to be subject to the debts contractsor engagements of her said husband, and to be disposed as she maythink proper----------------------

Lastly, I nominate & appoint my Son Orlando sRees, Executor and my daughter Maria P. Mayrant, Executrix of thismy will---------------------- Witnefs my hand & Seal this Sixthday of February one thousand eight hundred and thirty two.
