In the name of God Amen:

I John Pollard of the state of South Carolina andCounty aforesaid planter being very sick in body but of perfect mindand Memory; Do make and ordain this my last will and testament, thatis to say principally and first of all I give & recommend my soulinto the hands of Almighty God that gave it and my body to the earthto be buried in a decent Christian like manner---

It has pleased God to blefs me in this life, Igive and demise and dispose of the Same in the following manner &form---

1st I give to my beloved Son John Rowling Pollardmy plantation or Tract of Land & one Horse Saddle & briddleto the Value of one hundred & twenty dollars to be bought by myexecutors & paid for out of my personable property---

2ndly I give to my beloved Daughter FrancesPollard one feather bed & furniture---

3rdly I give to my beloved Daughter ElizabethPollard one feather bed & furniture---

4thly My wish is for the remainder part of mypersonal Estate to be sold to the best advantage & laid out inyoung Negro wenchs to be equally divided between my two DaughtersFrances & Elizabeth Pollard---

5th My wish is for all my lawfull debts to be paidout of my personal estate---

I do hereby constitute and appoint Captain ReubenLong and Fyn Jennings to act as my Executors to my Estate---

Signed Sealed by John Pollard as his last Will& Testament this 5th day of July in the year of our Lord1803---
