In the name of God Amen, I Jane McCants of SumterDistrict and State of South Carolina Spenster, being weak in Body,but of sound, and disposing mind memory and understanding, praised beGod for the same, do make and declare this my last Will and Testamentin manner and form following. First I resign my Soul into the handsof Almighty God, hoping and believing in a remifsion of my Sinsthrough the merits and Mediation of Jesus Christ; And My Body Icommit to the Earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executorherein after named;

Item It is my will that my said Executor do payall my Just debts out of the proceeds of my Estate&emdash; Item Igive and Devise to my worthy, and trusty friend Thomas Pringle ofSumterville in the District and State aforesaid All and singular myMefsauges, Tenements, freehold and Real Estate, whatsoever, andwheresoever it may be found, and to his Heirs and Afsigns forever:Item I give and bequeath to my said worthy Friend Thomas Pringle mytwo Negro slaves Daniel & Hannah, together with all the rest ofmy Negro Slaves of whatsoever name or discription with their Ifsues;I also give and bequeath unto my said worthy Friend Thomas Pringleall and singular the residue & remainder of my Estate, good &Chattles, mones, credits & demands whatsoever----And I do herebynominate, constutute, and appoint my said trusty Friend ThomasPringle sole Executor of this my last will and testament herebyrevoking and making void all former wills and testaments at any timeheretofore by me made, and do declare this to be my last will andtestament: In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and sealthis Twelfth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eighthundred and twenty one & in the forty sixth year of AmericanIndependence.
