State of South Carolina-

In the Name of God, Amen-the sixteenth day ofApril in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred andthirteen, I Elizabeth Marsden of Sumter Dis.t and State aforesaid,being weak in Body, but of perfect Mind Memory and understanding; Yetcalling to Mind the Mortality of my Body, and knowing that it isappointed for all Men once to Die: do make and ordain this to be mylast Will and Testament- Principally and first of all I recommend mySoul to God who gave it. My Body I recommend to the earth to beburied in a decent Christian manner, at the discretion of myExecutors, Nothing doubting but I shall receive the same again at theGeneral Resurrection; And as touching such worldly estate wherewithit has pleased God to blefs me with in this life, I demise andbequeath in the manner following-Imprimis- I order all my Just debtsand Funeral charges to be paid out of my Est.-Item-I will andbequeath to my Nephew John Lemon Seven Negroes named, Pompey, Dublin,Venus, Peg, Daniel, Sevenah and Mary; Item-I will and bequeath to myNephew James Lemon Seven Negroes Named Fortune, Petre, Labina, Tenah,Sam, Keat and Nearo- Item, I will that each of my Nephews, John,& James Lemon do hold each of the above named negroes to them;and their increase forever-Item, I will and bequeath to my twoNephews John & James Lemon my Smal Stock of Cattle, to be equallydivided between them at my Decease. Item, I will and bequeath to MyNephew James Lemon. the Bed that he now lies on, a pair of sheets,& 2 Quilts, Item- I will and bequeath to my Nephew John Lemon MyBed and all the furniture-Item-I will and bequeath what Money may bedue me at My Decease to my two Nephews John & James Lemon to beequally Divided Between them.

Item- I nominate and appoint my two Nephews, JohnLemon & James Lemon, Executors of this My last will andTestament, hereby Revoking and Making Void all former Wills andBequeaths. Confirming this and this only to be my last will andTestament whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal the day andYear above Written
