Sumter District } I Robert Gamble beingweak in body but of

perfect mind thank God for his mercies; knowingall men must Die Do Ordain this my last will & testament that isto Say I give my Soul Into the hands of God who gave it & my bodyto be buried in a Christen Manner Nothing Doubting but I shallrecieve the Same at the reserection of the Just & as for my worlygoods which it hath pleased God to blefs me With I give & disposeof in the following manner--- that is to say, I wish all my JustDebts paid, I give to my beloved Wife- Mary Gamble all my Estate bothreal & personal During her natural life or widdowhood ExpeptSuch as hereafter Mentioned- It is my wish my Son David N. Gambleshall have the land I got from Robt Gamble & the tract I got fromStory & two hundred acres joining the Gamble tract of the land Igot from Frierson, With liberty to build on any part & Cultivateany that his Mother Cannot Cultivate & at her Death or remarrageto have full pofsefsion of the same, I wish him to have one good bed& furniture when he pleses to Call for It. On Dun Mair & 2Colts, I wish him to have Minder & her Children & a boy bythe name of Sam. as his full part of my Estate, provided he shall notbe in pofsefsion of the Negrows till he Cleers My estate of Debt andthen to have pofsefsion of all Sd Negrows & If he should die& have no lawful Ishew his part to be Eqaly Divided betwixt mySurving Children or their Ishew, Except two Negrows Sam & Bob beDevided betwixt my two Sons Wm James and John F. Gamble & IfEither of them die without leaving lawful Ishew the other to have hispart, I give to my Son Ezekel Thos Gamble on Negro boy by the name ofNerow In place of land I wish all the rest of my Estate Equly Dividedbetwixt my Surviving Children or their lawfull Ishew at my BelovedWifs Death or remarrage that Is to say Martha J. Goodman, Wm JGamble, John F. Gamble, Rebacah C Gamble & Ezekel T. GambleExcept five Dollars & one bed & furniture I alow to my wifeIf She should marry again, & If either of my above named ChildrenShould die leving no lawfull Ishew their part or parts to be Dividedbetwixt the rest of their Ishew my son D. N. Gamble to have part IWish Martha Welch to have liberty to live where she now lives herlife time & have What land She Can Cultivate provided She Doesnot take in more than one hand more then now, I Wish David Shorter tohave all my right to Apece of land on Ox Swamp whether reail orSuposed none by the name of Nelsons land, & I Difsanull &Difsalow all other wills by me made alowing this to be my last will& Testament And I Dow apoint David N Gamble & Leevy GoodmanExaters of this my last will in Witnefs there off I have there untoSet my hand & Seal this 16th Day of June1837-----------------------------------------------------
