In the name of God Amen, I , WilliamEdwards, being very sick but at the present, of sound mind, althoughweak in body, do here make my last will and testament hereby revokingall of my former wills, I beqeath my soul to God in humble hope ofmercy through Jesus Christ and my body to the Earth. I leave to mybeloved wife Elizabeth Edwards, the Plantation where I lately livedon the Waters of Black River on Pudding Swamp of two hundred acresand six Negores, Isaac, Charlotte, Rose, Seby, Ben Abram, to her owndisposal. I likewise leave to my Nephew Charles Edwards, one negrofellow named Pittar but at the death of my wife, the Plantation to beleft to James Wootrs, the oldest son of Jacob Wootars, Jr., deceased. I acknowledge this to be my last will and testament. Feb. 11,1782
