I Thomas Dearington of the State of SouthCarolina, Sumter District being unwell, but Sound Mind and Memory, Ido make and ordain this my last Will and Testament and herebydisannulling all former and other wills by memade.------------------------------------------

I do Will and dispose of all my Estate both realand Personal in the way and mannerfollowing--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Item, I give an bequeath to my Wife RebeccaDearington all the Property both real and Personal which She wasentitled to or in Profession of at the time or our Marriage to herforever to will and dispose of in any way or manner she may thinkproper--------------- Item, I also give to my Wife Rebecca all theremainder of my property both real and personal for her Sole use andbenefit during her lifetime or as long --- as She remains myWidow-But in Case she should die or Marry, My will and desire is thatall my Affrican Negro Slaves which I have purchased since my marriage(viz) July, Sancho, Frank, Four, Winney and her four children Smart,Cain, Abel, and Henry, Venice and her child Sukey, Easter, and herchild Minda, Ben Robbin, Burwell, Littleton, Isaac, Daniel, Bella,& nelly, in all twenty one with all their future ifsue.----------I give and bequeath to my Sister Mary Jame's---------Male childrenNamely, Robert James, Lorenzo James, and Thomas James.----But if mywife-----Rebecca Should Die or Marry, in that event, I do give allthe remainder of my Property both Real and Personal/ not alreadydisposed of by this will/ to my brother John Darrington to dispose ofas he may think proper, ----I do hereby nominate and appoint myExecutors to this my last will and Testament made and done this day of in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundredand Twelve------------------
