In the name of God amen I Joshua Coker Senr BeingSick of Body but of good and Perfect Memory Thanks be to Almighty godcalling to mind the uncertain State of this Transitory life that allFlesh must yield to Death when it Shall please God to call I do makeconstitute ordain Declare this My last will and Testament in mannerand Every Testament and Testaments will and wills heretofore by memade and declard Either by word or writing And this is only to betaken for My last will and Testament and none other---And First Beingpenitent and Sorry From the bottom of my Hart For my Sins past---Mosthumbly desireing Forgivness for the Same I give and commit my Soul toalmighty God my Saviour and to have full Remission of all My Sins andthat my Soul with Body at the General Resurrection shall rise againwith Joy and through the Merits of Christs Death and--sufferingpossess and inherit the Kingdom of Heaven prepared For his Elect andchosen and my Body To be buried in Such a place as. it Shall pleasemy Executors hereafter named to appoint--and now for The Setting ofmy Temporal Estate & Such goods Chattels Debts as hath pleasd Godfar above my Derserts to bestow upon me I do order give & disposeoff in manner following First I will all those debts and Dues which Iowe to any manner of person or persons whatever Shall be well trulypaid by my Executors hereafter named Item I give & bequeath to myEldest Son Roberson Coker the Plantation & Tract of Land he isnow liveing on containing three hundred acres more or less being partof a tract of Six hundred acres Beginning at the west Side of sdtract at a gum corner in a Branch Running from sd Branch across to asmall Drean or Branch down sd drean to Mr. Evenses line along sd lineto new mans Branch continueing lines made out Round to the BeginingCorner the other part of land to be Devided Between my loving wife& youngest Son Clark Coker to my loveing wife I give and bequeaththe dwelling which I now dwell a part of the Plantation to beReserved for My Son Clark that is a field on the Swamp under fence toit Self & one acre Round his house---The Balance of My Plantationwith Rail timber & Fire wood sufficient For the use of thePlantation I give to my loving wife dureing her life at her Deceaseto Return to My Son Clark I give to my son Clark a tract of landBegining at the affoursaid gum corner & down The affoursaid Dreanto Evenses line then to my lower line & a crop to the middle ofPudding Swamp up sd Swamp & Round to the gum corner Being threehundred acres more or less two cows & yearlings & Five Sowsand twenty Six Pigs I Desire to be Sold to pay my creditors a negrowoman Silvia I give to my wife her life then to live with Either ofmy Sons or where She is a mind at the death of her mistress if she isliving a mare & Colt to the use of my wife her or here live thenthe colt to Return to Clark my son the colt the mare is in fole withto my son Roberson when folded the Balance of my stock household& kitchen farniture plantation tooles for the use of my lovingwife her life then to be devided between my two sons if they cantagree and divid then to be Sold and the money Equally divided withthem.
