I Jonathan Bell of the State of South CarolinaSumter District Clarendon County. being weak in body, but of soundand perfect mind and Memory, do make and publish this my last willand testament in Manner and form following (that is to say) First Igive and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary Bell all that part of myLand below Mulberry branch with the tenements thereon, and one NegroWench named Sarah, and all my other goods and Chattels of what kind& nature soever, with this Difference that my youngest Son EdwardBell is to have one half of the Land above mentioned During my WifeMary Bells Lifetime and after her Decease the above Land andtenements thereon I bequeath to my Son Edward Bell, and all the restof my goods and Chattels to be equally Devided amongst all mySurviving Children I do also give and bequeath unto my Son James Bellall that part of my tract of Land above wafs branch I do also giveand bequeath unto my Sons John and Peter Bell all that part of mytract of Land between wafs branch and Mulberry branch to be equallydevided between John and Peter Bell And Lastly as to all the rest,residue and remainder of my personal estate goods and Chattels ofwhat kind and nature Soever. I give and bequeath the same to my saidbeloved wife Mary Bell, whom I hereby appoint sole executrix of thismy last will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills by memade In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal, thisSecond day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eighthundred and fifteen and in the fortieth year of the Independence ofthe United States of America Signed Seald Published and Declared bythe above Named Jonathan Bell, to be his last will and Testament inthe presence of us, who at his request and at his Presence havehereunto Subscribed our Names as Witnefses to the Same
