In the name of god Amen I Thomas Baggs of SumterDistrict and State of SouthCarolina being in a weak State of body andinfirm in health but of sound and disposing mind and memory andcalling to mind the mortality of the body and immortality of the souldo make and ordain this my last Will and Testament--Imprimis It is myWill and desire that my beloved wife Elizabeth Mary be continued onmy plantation and to be equally with my Children supported from theprofits of my plantation during her widowhood as my widow providedshe continues to reside on my plantation and manages for the benefitof my children I also give and bequeath to her my beloved wifeElizabeth Mary my bay Horse Deer Legs in lieu of dower and everyother consideration or demand on my Estate except her maintenance asabove specified--Item I will and desire that the residue of my Estatereal and personal be equally divided betwixt my three Daughters mariaamerica mary Elizabeth and Elvira Cantey as they arrive at the agesof eighteen years old or on the days of their marriage but shouldeither of them died under age or unmarried then their part of partsof the Estate is to be equally divided among the survivors---
I do hereby nominate and appoint my true andtrusty friends Charles Cantey and Samuel Little Executors to this mylast will and Testament made this 11th day of May 1810--
