In the name of God Amen I John Taylor,
in Craven County & province of
South
Carolina planter, being sick weak in
Body but of sound and perfect mind
and
memory blefsed be Almighty god for the
same do make and publish this my
last
will & testament in manner and form
following, that is to say first I
desire
that all my Worldly Debts be paid, Item
I lend to my Beloved Wife Sarah
Taylor during her natural life one
third of my two plantation on the
waterree Bought of James & William
Harrison, four Negroes Viz filles, ned;
Aprill & march, one third of all my
stock consisting of horses hogs &
Cattle
& all my household furniture, Item,
I give to my Beloved Son John Taylor
one
piece of Land containing two hundred
acres on the waterree which land I
bought of James Harrison to him and his
heirs for ever; Item, I give to my
Beloved Son Simon Taylor two hundred
acres of land on the Waterree Which I
bought of William Harrison, to him
& his heirs for Ever. Item, I give to
my
Beloved Son William Taylor two Tracts
of land on the twenty five mile
creek
containing in the hole five hundred
acres to him and his heirs for ever,
Item I give to my Beloved dater Mary
Taylor, one tract of land containing
three hundred acres in the fork between
Waterree & Ceder Creek which land
was given me by my Brother Thomas
Taylor, to her & her heirs for ever.
Item
the remainder part of my Estate to be
Equally divided among my four above
mentioned Children, which Estate
consists of negroes cattle & horses &
hogs.
to them & their heirs for Ever.
Item lastly I do hereby constitute
nominate
& appoint my Beloved wife &
Brother Sarah Taylor & James Taylor Executors
to
this my last will and testament hereby
revoking all former Wills by me
maid
