I William Tate of South Carolina
Seriously considering the uncertainty of human life in the best do while in a
sound state of mind this my last will and Testament Intending to dispose of all
my worldly affairs not as humour may prompt but as Justice and ----equity seem
to direct--------------- Imost humbly recommend my Soul to the extensive mercy
ofthat Eternal Supreme Intelligint being who gave it me I give devise and
bequeath unto my Nephew William Tate son of my eldest Brother Samuel Tate of
the Kingdom of Iriland
Two thirds of all my Estate both Real
and personal forever I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Elizabeth
Tate in liew of all her Dower One third
part of all my Estate both Real and personal during her natural life and at her
decease to my above mentioned Nephew William Tate of the Kingdom of Ireland and
lastly I appoint my good and Trusty Friends John Chestnut and Zachariah Canty
Executors to this my last Will and Testament ----
