 In the Name of God Amen I William Simpson of Camden District in the State
of
 South Carolina Being Weak of Body But of Sound and Desposing Mind and
Memory
 Blefsed Be God therefore Calling to Mind the Mortality of the Body and
 Knowing that it is appointed for all Men to Die Do Make and ordain this to
 Be My Last Will and Testament Recommending My Soul to God Who gave it and
My
 Body to the Earth to Be Buried at the Discretion of My Executor
Hereinafter
 Mentioned and as for What Worldly goods it hath pleased God Blefs Me With
in
 this Life I despose of them in Manner and form following Viz. after paying
 My Just Debts and funeral Expences---------
 I give and Bequeath to My Well Beloved Wife Mary Simpson one third part of
 My personal Estate (My Waggon and ploughs and their Tacklings Excepted)
With
 the use of My Negro fellow Sampson During Her Natural Life To My grand
 Daughter Sarah Simpson Daughter of William Simpson I give and Bequeath The
 Sum of one Hundred pounds of the former Currency of this State of South
 Carolina To Be put out on Interest as Soon as Conveniently Can and paid
unto
 Her When She Shall arrive to the age of Eighteen years if She shall Live
 till that time to Receive it But if in Case She Shall Die Before She
arrives
 at that age I allow the same to Be Equally Divided amongst my Son James
 Simpson three Daughters Mary Jane & Elisabeth* To My Grand Daughter Martha
 Adams Daughter of Thomas Adams I give and Bequeath one Cow and Calf Which
 Now goes By the By the Name of Hers Her spinning Wheel one feather Bed and
 Bed Clothes and a New Bible to Be purchased for her out of My Estate to My
 Grandson John Simpson I give and Bequeath my ploughs With their Tacklings
To
 My grandson William Simpson Son of James Simpson I give and Bequeath a
track
 of Land Containing two Hundred acres Situat on Rocky Creek on the East
side
 of the Cuttaba

 River to My Son James Simpson I give and Bequeath the plantation And tract
 of Land on Which we now Live With My Waggon and Large Bible the Remaining
 part of my Estate to Be Sold and an Equal Division thereof to Be
 Mords[shared?][a]mongst all my children to Each an Equal part and also I
 allow that at My Wifes Decease My Negro fellow shall Be sold and His price
 Equally Divided amongst My Children as affs,d their Children to Receive
 their ["part" typed between the lines] if any of them Should Be Calld* off
 by Death Before the Devidend is Made I also Do Hereby Constitute and
appoint
 My son James Simpson to Be sole Executor of this My Last Will and
Testament
 Hereby Revoking and utterly Making Null and Void all former wills or
 testaments By Me in any Wise Made Ratifying and Confirming this and this
 only to Be My Last Will and Testament In testimony Whereof I have Hereunto
 Set My Hand and fixed My Seal this 20th Day of June in the year of our
Lord
