In the name of god Amen I
Barwel Evens of South Carolina and Kershaw District being in a Low State of
Healgth but thanks be to God in Sound mind and memory calling to mind the
mortality of my Body and Knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die I
do make and ordain this my Last will & teftament that is to say principally
and First of all if it Should pleafs
God to take me from time to Eternity before my two Law Suits with James
Williams is Settled in Camden it is my Desire that Thos* Porter Should carry
them on by the Afsistance of my Aternies the Same as if I was Living until they
are Settled according to Law and then it is my Desire that the money or
property which may be Recovered by Said Suits ["if any" typed between
lines] now in Law may be put or Left in the hands of Said Thomas Porter to pay
all my Just Debts in the First place and the Ballance if any to be Disposed of in the Following Clause I Give
and bequeath to my Son William Evans one Shot Gun which I Rate at ten Dollars
and Nothing more and the Ballance of my Estate if any After my Death after the
Said Thos* Porter Who I Leave to do all my businefs is paid for his trouble to
be Equealy Devided betwixt my three Grand children peggy
Bullard Susan Evens and Ransom Evens And I do here by utterly Disallow Revoke
and Disannul all and Every other former testaments wills Legacies bequests and
Executors Ratifying and Confirming this and no ther to be my Last will and
testament in witnefs Whereof I have Hare unto Set my hand and Seal this
twentieth day of June in the years of our lord one thousand
