Scenes From Our Past

in

Lee County, S.C.

The Green family history was extensively researched during the 1950's with many relatives  updating information and sharing pictures.

This is a photograph of Lottie Green
for  whom the  Bishopville chapter of the
Daughters of the Confederacy was named for.
The monument in front of the Lee county courthouse bears her name.

One of the interesting things about Lottie Green is that she was married to Colonel John Thompson Green
and when he passed away at age 43 she married his brother, Major William McDonald Green.
