This Plaque, Momument and inscription are
located at Goliad Texas
in memory of Col. J.W.Fannin and approximately 400 soldiers
who were taken captive and executed by Mexican General Santa Anna.
Orlando Wheeler was an Uncle of
Martha Jane (Patty)Wheeler Scarborough.
Several of his letters are on the "Letters home" section of this
site.
