Sacred to the Memory of Mrs. Abigail Cushing, widow of the late Benjamin Cushing, Esq., deceased, who died August 27, 1789, in the 63d year Here lies the body of Capt. Joseph Cooke Cushing, son of Benjamin Cushing, Esq., and Hannah his wife, who died August 27, 1793, in the 24th year of his age. His amiable disposition as a dutiful son, an affectionate brother and a useful member of society, procured his esteem and he died lamented by his numerous friends and relations.
Hail happy spirit while thy friends deplore A loss which ages never can restore, Thy bright example wipes their tears away, And points the passage of the realms of the day.
To the Memory of Hon. Benjamin Cushing, Efquire, defeased Feb'y 27, 1785, aged 79 years. Plain, honest, and always consistant Go thy ways traveller! And, convinced of the inflatibility (?) of human life, Meditate upon Eternity. In Memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Cushing, wife of Benjamin Cushing Esq., and daughter of Mr. William A???, she departed this life January...
