1781 - Captain Samuel HOPKINS Company of militia and amongst others in the fourth company were Robert BRAND Jr. and Simeon BRAND.

25 Jun 1787 - "Voted that Robert BRAND have an order on the town treasury for seven pound four shillings for his maintaining Elias BRAND to the next Council day order is granted"

17 Mar 1788 - "Voted that Robert BRAND have an order on the town treasury of one pound sixteen shillings for his maintaining Simeon BRAND's children order granted"

27 Oct 1788 - "Be it remembered that poor of the poor were bid of at the last ... dders are as follows to wit" amongst others "Mason BRAND to Daniel HOWARD for _______ at g/week"

30 Mar 1789 - "Voted that David HOWARD have an order on the town treasury for one pound eleven shillings & nine pence for his keeping Mason BRAND from third day of October last past until the 22nd of November after order is granted"
