Christopher Clifford, Jan, 2011 - Surnames: Hill, Wright, Owen,
I am researching my family history and it has led me to Stryker Village. My maternal grandfather, Nathan Henry Hill was born there in 1902 on October 20. His father`s name is Henry Fredrick Hill and his mother`s name is Nora Etta Wrght. Her parents are Thomas Wright and Jane Owen. Both were born in Ohio and died in Michigan. Henry`s parents were Nathan Robert Hill and his wife Clarissa Jane Hill. Nathan Robert was born in Ohio and Clarissa was born in New York. I would greatly appreciate any info you may have access to on the Hill or Wright families in Ohio. My info is limited to what you see above. Thanks.

Jan and Ken Enright, April 2012 - Surname: Hinman
William Charles Hinman, (son of undertaker and wife, Richard and Electa (Fidelia Root) Hinman), (or Charles William Hinman as he is sometimes referred) was married in 1875 to Viola D'Arcy Coffee, and in the 1880 census lived on Bryan Road in the incorporated village of West Unity Township of Brady. My query is that we have records to indicate that CW, or Will, was married before. We believe that it might have been as early as between 1850 and 1859. We have no information on his 1st wife. In 1859 he was working in Madison, Indiana, at the shipyard, and was very reluctant to return to West Unity, although he missed his family. This information is from a letter from a family member dated 1859 "William [Charles William Hinman] is now in Madison working at the shipyard. He was up last week and was well, and talking of going home. But I told him I would tell you to look for him when you saw him and so you may. It is very uncertain when William will return home. I think he wants to see you very much but does not wish to return to West Unity." We wonder if maybe he had lost his wife by that time, and did not want to return because of sadness on that front. I am a member of Ancestry.com, and have pretty much exhausted information on-line, and hoped that you might have information re an obituary, marriage record, death record, etc., for a Mrs. William Hinman ... taking into account the many variations of his name. His Civil War records aren't much better ... He was in the 3rd Ohio Cavalry, and enlisted 1861 from West Unity. They list him as CW Hinman, Charles Hinman, and William Hinman on different records. Thank you in advance for any information, or effort you might do on our account.
