Husband and Imbecile Daughter Get use of Poole Estate - the
hearing of the application to admit to probate the will of Mary E. Poole,
who died at Edgerton, December 27, (1906) has been set for January 14, before Probate
Judge Frazier. The last testament of Mrs. Poole was made February
17, 1906. she bequeathed the use of her estate after all debts and funeral expenses had
been paid, to her husband, William and to her imbecile daughter, Alta Poole, both of
Edgerton. The husband and daughter are only to have the benefits of the property left by
the mother and wife during their natural life. At the death of either of these, the
property reverts to the living one. After the death of the two beneficiaries, the property
is equally divided into eight shares. Seven children are each to receive one-eighth
a piece, while the remaining eighth is to be shared equally by two step sons, sons of Mr. Poole
by a former marriage. There is to be no administrator appointed, the husband to have
charge of the property during his life, and should he die before the imbecile daughter,
the estate is to be held in trust by Frank W. Poole, a son. The seven
children are, Ira A. Poole of Toledo, Frank W. Poole of
Berea, Oh., Harlan L. and Charles W. Poole of Edgerton, Bertha Warrick
of Enid, Ok., Eva Gabriel of Edgerton, and Mattie Nichols
of Hicksville, Oh. The two step sons of Mrs. Poole are Ruby J. Poole
of Warrensburg, Mo., and Emery Poole of Grand Rapids, Mich. There are
also two granddaughters living at Tecumseh, Mich.
