[Indenture 20 June 1834 Sydney & Rila Beckwith to David Waymire]
This indenture made twentyeth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and thirty four between Russell Beckwith Isaac Sawyer , Amos Daniels, Trustees of the township of Mentor in the County of Geauga and State of Ohio of the one part and David Waymire of said township of the other part witnesseth, that the said Trustees have and by these presents do place and bind out Sydney & Rila Beckwith poor boys Sydney age Eight years & ten months & Eight days & Rila age four years & four months & twenty eight days sons of Almeda Waymire of said township who is unable to support her children as an apprentice to the said David Waymire to be taught the art and trade of farming which the said David Waymire now use and to live with and to serve him as an apprentice for the term of the said Sydney, twelve years one month & twenty two days from the date of these presance. Also the said Rila to serve the said David Waymire Sixteen years and seven months and two days that they shall be taught to read & write and so much of arithmetick as to include the single rule of three also a new Bible to each of them, two suits of common wearing apparrel to each of them. The said David Waymire agrees to pay to Sydney Beckwith fifty dollars at the expiration thereof. In witness whereof the parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.

[Indenture 4 Apr 1835 Thomas Craine II to Thomas Craine]
This Indenture made at Mentor in the County of Geauga and State of Ohio this fourth day of April A. D. 1835 by and between Amos Daniels Isaac Sawyer and Russell Beckwith Trustees of the Township of Mentor aforesaid of the one part and Thomas Craine of said Mentor of the other part Witnesseth that the said Amos Isaac and Russell in their said capacity Trustees as aforesaid pursuant to the statute in such case made and provided have and do by these presents place and bind Thomas Craine second a destitute minor whose father is said to be resident in the Isle of Man and does not provide for the said minor who is of the age of seventeen years on the eighteenth day of Sept. 1836 with and to the said Thomas Craine to be instructed in the art mystery and trade of Carpenter and House joiner which the said Thomas Craine now uses and to live with the said Thomas Craine and serve him as his apprentice until the said Thomas Craine second shall arrive of the age of tweny [sic] one years which will be on the eighteenth day of Sept. One thousand eight hundred and forty-one and we hereby give the said Thomas Craine second until he shall arrive of the age of twenty one years as aforesaid which we the said trustees can or may do agreeably to the statute term of the State of Ohio. And the said Thomas Craine on his part for consideration of the promises agrees with the said Trustees and their successors in office and the said Minor respectively and jointly to teach and instruct the said Thomas Craine second as his said apprentice or cause him to be well and sufficiently instructed in the art trade mystery and occupation of a Carpenter and House Joiner in the best manner in his power, that he will teach or cause said Minor to be taught to read and write and so much of Arithmetic as will include the single rule of Three to furnish and provide for the said Minor during the whole of said term suitable and proper food drink lodging and wearing apparel whether in sickness or in health suitable and proper for the age and business of said Minor to furnish and provide all necessary medicines and suitable attendance in sickness for said minor to train him up and educate him in principles of religion and virtue and to habits of faithfulness and industry and economy and at the expiration of said term to furnish the said Minor with a new Bible and at least two new suits of common wearing apparel and it is expressly stipulated and agreed that every thing hereby agreed to be paid said Minor shall be for his exclusive benefit and advantage.
In witness whereof the parties hereto in their capacity as aforesaid have hereunto as well as to a Counterpart hereof of the said term and date set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

This Indenture made this day at Mentor in the County of Geauga and State of Ohio this fourth day of April A. D. 1835 by and between Amos Daniels Isaac Sawyer and Russell Beckwith Trustees of the Township of Mentor aforesaid of the one part and Thomas Craine of said Mentor of the other part Witnesseth that the said Amos Isaac and Russell in their said capacity of Trustees as aforesaid pursuant to the statute in such case made and provided have and do by these presents place and bind John Cannon a destitute Minor whose Father is said to be resident in the Isle of Man and does not provide for the said Minor who is of the age of sixteen years on the first day of July 1836 with and to the said ________

[Indenture 6 Mar 1837 William Neff to Roseville Hart]
This Indenture made at Mentor in the County of Geauga and State of Ohio this sixth day of March A.D. 1837 by and between Samuel Brown NP Goodall and Dudley Nowlen Trustees of the township of Mentor aforesaid of the one part and Rosevill Hart of said Mentor of the other part witnesseth. That the said Samuel Brown N. P. Goodell & Dudley Nowlen in the said capacity of trustees as aforesaid pursuant to the statute in such case made and provided have and do by these presents place and bind William Neff a destitute Minor whose Father is said to be unknown and does not provide for said minor who is of the age of fourteen years on the tenth day of Feb. 1836 with and to the said Roseville Hart to be instructed in the art mystery and trade of a Farmer which the said Roseville Hart now uses and to live with the said Roseville Hart and serve him a his apprentice until the said William Neff shall arrive at the age of twenty one years which will be on the tenth day of Feb. One thousand eight hundred and forty-three and we hereby give the said Rosevill Hart all the power and authority over the person of said William Neff until he shall arrive of the age of twenty one years as aforesaid which we the said trustees can or may do agreeably to the statute law of the state of Ohio and the said Roseville Hart on his part in consideration of the premises agrees with the said trustees and their successors in office and the said Minor respectively and jointly to teach and instruct the said William Neff as his said apprentice or cause him to be taught and instructed in the art trade & mystery of a farmer in the best manner in his power that he will teach or cause to said Minor to be taught in the different branches of a common school education for the term of eighteen months in the course of the seven years (the term of time the said minor is bound to the said Rosvill Hart) to furnish and provide for the said Minor during the whole of said term suitable and proper food drink lodging and wearing apparel whether in sickness or in health suitable and proper for the age and business of said Minor to furnish and provide all necessary medicines and medical attendance in sickness for said minor to train him to train him [sic] up and educate him in the principles of religion and virtue and to habits of faithfulness industry and economy and at the expiration of said term to pay the said minor one hundred dollars and to furnish and to furnish [sic] him with a new bible and at least two suits of common wearing apparel and it is expressly stipulated and agreed that every thing hereby agreed to be paid said minor shall be for his exclusive benefit and advantage.
