Ministerial Licenses To have the legal right to marry a couple, a minister was required to register and be licensed by the state. The duty was delegated to the county probate courts. Includes name, denomination, record date and occasionally original license date. Newly transcribed by Cynthia Turk including all the available volumes. |

Cleveland Catholic Diocese Archives Sacramental records may be requested here. The Assistant Director of Archives answers genealogy requests. The website has Digital Collections which include a book by Bishop Pilla and People of Faith, which has histories of most of the churches, including closed ones. Also there are photo albums of the Catholic churches and schools from the 1890's. |
