Burrows was a judge, a senator, mayor of Painesville/ and a civil war veteran wounded at the battle of Shiloh./ His wife Claribil, was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Their only son, Jerome S. Burrows, was a/ Spanish American War Veteran, manager of the Evening Telegraph and owner of the Parmly Hotel./ Due to deteriorating conditions,/ the Burrows mausoleum was declared unsafe and removed./ The Burrows family was re-interred on July 30, 2001. |
