Diamond Shamrock Grounds (Extinct) According to Saul Olila in his Hometown Sketches, Fairport Harbor was a “favored resort” of the Indians of the area and their bones have been found in more than one place near the village. Many years ago when workmen were excavating on Diamond Shamrock properties, they found human bones. This site is east of East Street along Fairport Nursery Road near the F.P. & E. Railroad crossing. |
