Northeast Leroy (Clague Farm) Cemetery |
Inscriptions | Section Map |
From Debbie Kinyon and Pat Greene's book, History of Leroy, second edition, on page 47:
NorthEast Leroy in pioneer days was a settlement on its own. Its little cemetery is on the southeast corner of Ford and Trask Roads. It has a chain link fence and a gate on each road with the entrance is on Ford Road. It appears to be four long sections, each about eight graves wide. These readings were done as though it were one large section. The rows were read from west to east and the stones from north to south. The center of the cemetery appears old, with mostly marble memorials. The east and west ends are newer graves and have granite headstones. They had had a burial between our reading and our proofreading. The readings were proofed on 11 November 2000. Addendum June 2017: here is a nearly complete searchable database for Northeast Leroy and Williams Cemetery at the Township site: http://leroyohio.com/roads-service/cemeteries/ |
