This is a private family cemetery with one tombstone located on a sandy knoll on the west side of Artmar Drive off Rt. 84. This area was a prehistoric beach line. In 1974 a business considered the area for sand excavation. Noah Anderson, a pioneer surveyor, married in 1807 and shortly afterward bought 160 acres on Route 84 which he farmed until his death. Noah died November 22, 1852 at the age of 72 years. His wife Emma died December 4, 1863 at the age of 72. Emma is buried on top of Noah's grave. A relative, Lee Anderson built a new foundation for the stone and maintained the plot until 1969. In 1974 Mr. And Mrs. O.C. Baumgartner were still mowing grass and cutting weeds.

About 1946, when digging footers for a house foundation at 6402 Artmar, in front of the gravestone, old bones were found but it was not determined whether they were human or animal. There is an article in the Painesville Telegraph Aug. 1, 1874.

These graves are on private property with no apparent public easement.
