Peleg Simmons of Middletown, Hartford county, Conn., was born June 13, 1761, married May 22, 1788, and died Oct. 1, 1854, living to be ninety-three years of age.
He was buried on Willoughby Plains, Lake Co., Ohio.
During the Revolutionary War he served his country from Connecticut as soldier on a war vessel, which was used to protect the coast.
